Silver citrate

Silver citrate

Common name:

Silver citrate

Ingredient description:

Organic derivative of citric acid. Has disinfectant, bactericidal and fungicidal effects. It is commonly used in antiperspirants because it prevents the growth of microorganisms responsible for unpleasant odours. It protects not only the skin, but also the cosmetic itself, extending its shelf life after opening. It is an ingredient in many cleaning products and interior deodorants. At the same time, it does not cause irritation, so it can even be used on damaged skin. It is a popular ingredient in antibacterial hand gels.

Cosmetic action:

Its main function is to block the growth of microorganisms on the skin, without the undesirable drying effect. This is particularly important for tattoo cosmetics applied to a fresh wound (e.g. soaps).
