Propanediol

Propanediol

Common name:

Vegetable glycol

Ingredient description:

Vegetable glycol is produced by the fermentation of sugars from maize. It is therefore an ingredient of natural origin. It performs a number of functions in cosmetics, making it a very valuable ingredient. In addition, it is a great, ecological and safe alternative to other glycols.

Cosmetic action:

Propanediol improves the consistency of the cosmetic. It is also a solvent and a stabiliser. It increases the absorption of active ingredients as it is a great carrier for them. Promotes the effect of preservatives - by using vegetable glycol in the cosmetic, the amount of preservatives contained in the cosmetic can be reduced. It has a conditioning and moisturising effect for a better appearance of the tattooed areas.
