Sorbitan Olivate

Sorbitan Olivate

Common name:

Sorbitan Olivate

Ingredient description:

Sorbitol olivate is an ingredient of vegetable origin. It is extracted from olive oil, among other sources. Thanks to its emollient and emulsifying properties, it is widely used in many cosmetic products.

Cosmetic action:

In cosmetics, it acts as an emulsifier - it binds the non-bonding phases of a cosmetic together to form a uniform emulsion. It therefore has a significant effect on the final consistency of the product and extends its shelf life by preventing delamination. In addition, it is also an emollient, i.e. it forms a protective film on the surface of the skin that prevents water evaporation. It therefore has an indirect effect on the hydration of tattooed skin.
