Butyrospermum Parkii Butter

Butyrospermum Parkii Butter

Common name:

Shea butter

Ingredient description:

Vegetable oil produced from the fruit of the Parka butter tree. Rich in monounsaturated oleic acid and saturated stearic acid. Contains phytosterols - a component of plant cell membranes that is the basis of medicines. It is almost fragrance-free, whitish in colour and paste-like in consistency. It is used both in cosmetics and in cooking (suitable for consumption). It is also part of the religious rituals of the indigenous peoples of Uganda. It is not a potential allergen and there are no restrictions on its use in cosmetics.

Cosmetic action:

It is an emollient that forms a film on the skin to prevent excessive water evaporation, so it has a moisturising, softening and smoothing effect. It helps tattooed skin to remain firm and not dry out.
